TEAM SPIRIT HOLISTIC

TESHO - Turn your not so great marriage into a thrilling one!

The TESHO Program

The TESHO program was concieved when I noticed that many notions that are taught in HIV prevention workshops are theory to many participants. These participants are ordinary husbands, wives or adolescents grappling with the problems of relating in the family so they can live lives free from stress and stress-related illnesses. As a medical doctor, I started asking my patients some questions about how they lived their daily lives. This was because I had noticed that many of them had kept on coming back for the same stress-related illnesses. Moreover, when I listened to my HIV+ clients, many of them confessed to knowing little or next to nothing on how they can put into practice the A, B, C principles of HIV prevention. They knew about HIV and its prevention in a theoretical kind of way. They could give me all the right answers to an HIV awareness test but putting this knowledge into pratice in their daily lives was another matter. That was when we concieved the TESHO concept so that they could learn in a simple replicable hands-on way what it means to build team spirit in their relationships so they can avoid HIV, stress and stress-related illnesses.

At the heart of Family Life

TESHO Family life

Many workers have problems dissociating their professional lives from their family lives. What happens on the home front influences how the worker performs his or her job. In the TESHO program, husband, wife and children are likened to a football team with the dad as the team captain, the wife as the coach and their kids as the star players.

Charity begins at home

The results that they have in the home game influence the reults that they will have in the away(work place) game. When a worker is not happy at home, it is almost certain that he will be a poor job performer. Psychologists have been telling us this for a long time but many workers are at a loss when it concerns how they can cultivate harmony in their relationships at home.

A boss who wants to add value to the lives of his workers will do everthing to make sure he gives his workers the TESHO skills that they need to cultivate meaningful relationships in the home ie between spouses and between spouses and their children.
